I personally don't see any issues with using such grenades as long as they're tossed the same way as the Tornado grenades (i.e. underpass as opposed to overhead). I can check with the other TKOSOC if they agree.

I do some sound engineering, and try really hard to protect my hearing. Headphones never go above 3 or 4 on my ipod, and I will wear plugs in my ears whenever I go to a live event, etc. If we decide to start using these, which would be cool, then let me know and I will start packing some ear plugs

Regarding the 12g CO2 cartridges, I see them on Yahoo Auctions from time-to-time. 1,900 for a pack of 10, I believe.

Thanks Hazard...I will probably hold off on getting the one I want...I found a company that sells them to the army for training...it's CO2 based and creates a 120db blast...it's life like weight and feel but I don't think it'd do that well out doors

Let me know if anyones planning to use these in a game. I'll be sure to not be there. Anything loud enough to "stun" someone is loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage. My hearing is bad enough working around the flightline as it is, the last thing I need is people popping off "flashbangs" next to my ear.

Yeah, I'm with Wraith on this one. I'd rather not have one of these go off in my face.

I think it's gonna surprising more than anything. I doubt people would go around training with what could permanently damage hearing, that... doesn't make real sense.

I agree...the difference between this and a flight line is huge..I know loud helo's are up close and these wouldn't even come pare...second there would be no throwing these in the face situations since TKO's under hand throw policy...third think there would be no difference between this and a madbull grenade launcher going off next to you by the way..
