No difference

A bit less spraying would have been appreciated but not too much overall.

Thanks everyone for a good day - despite the heat and humidity, it was a lot of fun. The last few games where we opened up the field and played against the other team was also a nice twist.
About the no bb limit rule - honestly don't think it changed anything at all. It didn't change my style at all, and I didn't notice any difference in the number of bb's coming at me compared to games that have bb limits.

In my case I didn't hesitate to shoot BB's in the situation with "no BB limit" which I DID hesitate with usual BB limit. I remember that was "capture the fort mission" in May's game at SEALs. I saved BB's when I was covering other teammates who headed to the fort with me because after getting to a point near the fort we needed to shoot a lot of BB's to clear the fort. However yesterday,in a game of "no BB limit", I could have peace of mind by thinking roughly like ... 1st mag for a process from HQ to the fort and 2nd mag for clearing the fort.
Talking about others I thought almost all members looked like same in regular game. I think that the players here TKO tend to move with other 1 to 3 teammates and cover each other in games, so each player can move flexibly by working together. They don't need to stay at a point for a while by the time when an opponet will be coming up. I guess this is why we don't use a lot of BB's, you don't need to keep full auto shooting to make an opponent pinned him/her to there.
Well... thank you for reading. Finally things above based on our playing style so I think that an outcome is different if there are other type of players.
#Thanks again to Q for organizing, GF and me had a nice day!

Thanks to Q for organizing, to the morning and afternoon team leaders, and to everyone who played. I had a lot of fun despite the heat and the sweat.
I don't think the lack of a limit on BBs affected play at all. I still carried my normal loadout, and I didn't find myself in a situation where I felt someone was liberally spraying BBs just hooping for a lucky hit. I agree with Ron, though, in that different players could have changed my feeling on this dramatically. Everyone who was there yesterday seemed to be seasoned and mature as far as airsoft is concerned, so I think this limited the spray 'n pray. In addition, there were no LMGs with 3000-round mags in play yesterday. When someone walks onto the field with 3000-6000 rounds on them... well, I don't think even GingaNinga could resist the urge to unleash the BB hose with that kind of firepower. That being said, I have no issue with players bring out their 249 Paratroopers, just so long as there aren't four on one team and none on the other.

Yeah, couldn't really tell much of a difference without the BB limit. I carried one less mag, but half the time I never even got to a second mag. My play style still remained mostly the same, and I didn't feel a particularly heavier amount of fire this time around.

Same here, usual loadout and no difference on gameplay. The one time I tried my Hi-cap, the constant necessary rewinding pissed me off and I dumped it to get back to my mid caps.

There's a poll in the General Forums about cap limits, maybe the discussion can continue on there.
Meanwhile, I didn't take many pictures but here's the few that I did take :-

Nice pictures Sean! I'll try and upload mine tonight.
In the meantime - it'd be great if everyone that is going to the September 12 game at Splash could visit that thread and sign up!

Thanks for the game guys. I thought it was a fun day. I didnt shoot too many but then again I didnt get shot that much either. I think it was Paul that got me every time.
I think a few things would be good to get the games running a little better. I think that one Paul should only be allowed a pea shooter as he is way too accurate
On a more serious note, I think that the timing for the missions is too short. It would be good to have no time limit and allow the game to flow how it likes. Let people try for missions when they want and for how long they need. The balloon game could go the entire time as well as the plant the bomb and assassination. Well all of them really. It would make it more interesting. I just think that 10 mins is way too short.
Also it would be good if we could agree on rules and things before we get to the field. It took a long time to get started. I think we are all pretty active on here. I am maybe the worst as I only come on here about once a week, but if we can discuss rules and the missions before we go out then decide on everything before we get to the field, it would speed it up and sort out the question and answer session or at least make it go faster.
Other than those I was a happy but sweaty boy.
1) Paul gets a pee shooter
2) Longer missions
3) Sort stuff out online before the game
4) Paul will probably still own me with his pee shooter
Ok enough said have a fun week

One other suggestion I'd like to make:
When playing a campaign game, I think base defense should be at the discretion of the team captain. I don't see much reason to require that teams have a certain number of people on defense. If a team feels they need extra numbers to complete a mission and don't mind leaving their base undefended for a little bit, that should be their decision to make.
In addition, the dog tag system as is makes it difficult at times to see what team people are on, especially if you manage to get behind them.

Which I personally think is a good thing. It shouldn't be about finding a bright color in the forest and shooting at it, but actively identifying tangos and taking them down.
That makes sneaking even more advantageous since when you spot someone from too far, you'll try to remain quiet until you can make sure it's an enemy instead of spraying from miles away.

I don't think I have ever seen a flash of armband and started shooting. Most times I see a person, or a head poking out from behind a barricade or something. Once I see someone, I take the time to spot an armband before shooting. If I can't see an armband from where I am, I walk away or try to get into a better spot so I can see the person more clearly. I never shoot at someone without making sure they're opfor.
Personally, I haven't had an experience where I felt that the armband gave me away, when otherwise I would have been unseen. It would be great if we could divide teams on the basis of camo and do away with armbands, but with so many different styles being worn, that becomes quite difficult. When team numbers go over about twelve, also, it can be difficult for me to remember everyone who's on my team.
