Hey guys, anyone there who has installed a high cycle motor to M4 SOPMOD? I'm wondering if it works perfectly without damaging the stock gears...
If you're talking about the Systema Turbo, I've used that. Need to shave off the 2nd (last) tooth.
I'm actually talking about the TM EG3000. Is this similar to Systema Turbo? Thanks.
So in googling, EG3000HC is rated at 30,000RPM (uncertain @ what voltage) whereas the Systema Turbo is 28,000RPM. Guess you'll just have to give it a shot & take the risk.
Thanks Q, I will let others try first and wait for their feedback hehe.
This is the motor that is being used in the high cycle m4 that is being released by tm today. I don't think it is a blowback gun, and I am guessing there is a reason for that. Q has had recent piston and gear stripping (correct me if I am wrong here Q) on his Sopmod using hi-torque and/or hi speed motors. I would stay with the stock one, or shave piston teeth like Q suggested...but my new rule is don't open a mech box unless you have to! Don't fix what isn't broke Smile
Why were on the topic of motors, is there any place that gives you all the spec on the different motors?

Q, thaks i have been looking for one that compares the G&P motors. Have you seen the new G&P 170?
No unfortunately not. Reading on AirsoftMechanics, at least the G&P 160 had a good pull, so if the 170 is based on the 160, hopefully it's better.
