And the best thing is it's on sale!!!

HFC134a and Propane capable...what more could you ask for.
these do look amazing and Im wondering if they have weighted bottoms to keep them upright.

The main problem that still isn't been addressed is the weight issue and injury sustained to individuals that are hit by one of these. For indoor use this is easilly avoided by the rolling technique when using grenades but not the thrown.

These are also looking to be the best option for indoor use.
Is it on sale....still shows price TBA for me....

Jumped the gun on that one I guess Big Grin

In any case can't wait for this thing to hit the stores.
mine is coming.
yohoo!! this gonna be fun to use in the CQB .
Yeah, I saw they are a go now....but how much CQB is there here?
I'm thinking their utility is maximized indoors....

Another vid this time showing firing of the unit outdoors.
The other problem your going to face is if the site owners will allow this.

Definitely something that we will need to confirm beforehand.
Hello there, I hope you don't mind much my bringing up an old thread.

Question: Do you guys use grenades/flashbangs regularly in games?
If so, what model/make do you use?

I've been seeing a lot of grenades in the overseas markets lately, and I want to get one that's acceptable in fields here in Japan.
Brands I've been looking at are: PFI, VFC Maple Leaf, Deepfire, AI, Madbull, Escort.
TKO uses grenades especially in our private games. For public games it depends on the organizers and the field regulations. Best so far are the AI grenades several of us have them.
Ok do not use flash bangs or grenades that use cordite or other explosives. These are illegal in Japan some sites allow smoke grenades but anything that goes bang and fires anything out through explosives are a big no-no. Go for a gas version, basically out of all of them the only ones that I have used that work are the AI tornados.
Problem with the AI Tornadoes is that they don't make any sounds (apart from a hiss). Good for room clearing but apart from that i think they are kinda useless. In my opinion its far more effective to use something that goes bang and doesn't shoot out BBs, then we just set the rule that is it lands near you then use your imagination.
Just saw the DD kit for the AI tornadoes. Not so much of a Bang! than a POP! If this is the closest thing we are allowed to a thunder flash bang then it will do. Shame though.
Thanks all for the responses!

FarEast - Yep yep, I definitely intend to get something non-Pyro. Too bad we can't blow up sim charges like Milsim events over in the good ol' USTongue

It would be great if we could set rules like that, but then I believe the bang device complicates rules and heightens expectations in following new rules for opposing players. For example, if I wanted to use a bang device at Irene with rules including a "kill radius", I'd have to negotiate such rules with everyone from OPFOR. Thus, for grenades that simulates lethal force, I defer to a device that shoots BBs.

AI sounds like a good choice, but it's a bit expensive while there are multiple reliability issues....

What about those VFC/Maple Leaf grenades? Has anyone tried those in Japan?

Supposing I get an AI for a simulated HE grenade, what's best for non-pyro bang grenades in Japan?

Unfortunately I have never heard of any non-pyro bang grenades being used in JP.

The VFC one looks good actually will have to check those out.

Unfortunately we don't have any kill radius rules at TKO. One idea is to use baby powder in a grenade so as to simulate blast radius kills.

It is just unfortunate in Japan that with all the rules in place it does limit our playing styles.
