Hey people,
I'm mike (original eh?), I live in Saitama but less than 1 minute to Tokyo. Anyway, Iam pretty much a complete newbie to airsoft. I was introducted to this site by Scott. You guys are playing on the 15th but I have already arranged to play on Sunday. Two games in a row seems OTT to me. Plus my kit consists of a G36C, MP7A1 and a socom (All standard). No clothes yet, running around in jeans and a t-shirt when you guys are pretty hardcore and fully kitted out, I would stand out.
Anyway, I am British and I have fired a few live fire weapons (L85A2, LSW and countless handguns). I have done excercises with blank firing weapons years ago.
Any advise on buy kit, ie, where from? Is welcome. Do you guys always play on Saturdays????
Mike
Welcome Mike! We'll need to thank Scott for introducing you to us! 2 consecutive days back to back? Well depends on how hardcore you are

. Yeah, our games are usually organised on Saturdays to give 1 day's rest. Details of the Sept 15 game is as follows :-

It sounds like you've got a reasonable kit to start off with. You don't have to go for full BDU as we do have ppl that go in casual gear too. The only thing that I'd recommend for you to add on would have a sidearm as we do have sidearm-only games and that's a lotta fun!
I don't know of airsoft places in Saitama but Frontier (Akabane) may be close to you...maybe 20 min by train? <!-- m -->

Hi there Mike.
Playing two days in a row, sounds perfect  (except having to get up early on the weekend)
Usually the TKOverkill games are on Saturdays, every 3-4 weeks.
Myself and a few others (Seraphien, THL) often get along to public games on Sundays. Recently we have been to No.9 quite a few times. So if you are looking to play we'll get in touch.
Where you playing on the 16th anyway? I'm considering playing, maybe public game at Splash...

I have a Socom Mk23 that I use as a pistol. I live in Yatuska 20 minutes from Ueno.
I am heading to Marui BB field in Ayase (or near it anyway on Sunday with a good friend and friend of his I have never met). I work on saturday so gaming on a Sunday monday only for me. But I do get holidays so I can attend the odd game. I would like o join you guys for public games on a regular basis. Let me know if and where you are going and I will come.
let me know how the mauri field is
i really want to go!
Welcome and hope that you will be able to play with us in one of our Saturday games in the near future.
As Q mentioned don't worry about our kits as it has taken many of us over a year to assemble. Bottom line for TKOVERKILL is to have fun.
I may come on Saturday I will let you tomorrow for sure. I will speak to my friend and see if he wants to come too, if thats ok?
Yeah I read all the rules before joining.
It sucks, my friend can't make it. He has a wedding to go to, honestly, what is more important?
Considering that I have no idea where this place is, how much gas to put in my socom (I never used a gas gun before) and I have never played airsoft before, I don't think I should come.
I will have to get on the next saturday game I can make or a Sunday game if anyone goes to a public game. Unless    someone wants to hold my hand for the first few games? I promise I will wash it.
Also what googles do you guys wear? I want something reasonable priced that won't restrict my view.
Mike, there are a few others going that are very new to the sport. Also with the style of play and also the attitude as a whole you find that Saturday is a perfect venue to start as we will all be able to give you guidence an factual information as regards to the sport.
As for the gas, just bring the gun, the magazines and the can of HFC134a and I would be more than happy to walk you through it's opperation, loading and gassing.
How far is the venue from the trains station? Chishirodai right? Make Kanji is well really bad.[/code]
Actually the station is kita-chishirodai. it's about 5 minutes walk to the site... if you're up to it... carrying all your gears.
If you are going you might want to post to the event thread to see if anyone else will be going by train. You might be able to meet up with someone and share a taxi there.
It doesnt look like anyone else is heading that why by trian. I will sit this one out unless someone is catching the train and drive to the next game.
