FRIENDSHIP FESTIVAL 2007

Yokota Air Base's Japanese - American Friendship Festival 2007 is Aug. 25 and 26. The #5 Supply/ Ushihama gate will be open to pedestrian traffic from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during this time. However, the fireworks show will begin at 8:25 p.m. both days.

Status of Forces Agreement personnel will not be allowed to sign in visitor's vehicles during these two days.
The closest station is JR Ome Line's Ushihama Station which is a 10-minute walk to the gate. This year's festival will feature aircraft static displays, music, food, game booths and various events throughout the two-day festival.
Photo identification with your nationality and any items being carried on base will be checked at the gate. However, large bags, alcohol, glass bottles and cooler boxes cannot be brought on base.

-No public vehicle/motorcycle parking is available.
-Bicycle parking will be available near the supply gate.
-No pets are allowed in the festival area.
-Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas throughout the festival area.

If you are not a U.S. or Japanese citizen and would like to attend the festival, call the Public Affairs Office at 042-552-2511 for additional information.

Normally you are only required to show your alien registration card or passport. As for me sorry guys...surfing and beach parties for me that weekend!

let's go surfing then before the winter's come.
Man, I'd be happy to show anyone around, but I have to work the two days. Saturday, have to be on telephone standby and at the Filipino Association booth 1500-1800, Sunday working at the first aid tent from 0800-1400, then telephone standby the rest of the day. :?
