It's in Japanese. I've got a heads up from Far East but do stock mags work (e.g. can I use my PTS PMags or the Star PMags in there?). Noticed it uses EG1000, could that be swapped with SystemA Turbo?
etc.
It'll be released on the day I fly to Australia :-(.
Nope uses a whole new magazine system, although they will release both high and low cap magazines. The motor is the same old so any motor upgrades will work fine. Also Shops like Echigoya that offer thier normal 33% off the marked price so you'll be able to pick these up for 35,099 JPY (
http://www.echigoya.co.jp/html/) which is an amazing price for a full metal gun with more features than a SystemA PTW!
Also for those wondering on the release dates it comes out on December 22nd 2008. You'll either need to reserve one or que early as these are more anticipated than the Type 89!
I'm quite keen on this (since all my fr1gg1n weapons are back in Hong Kong :-(. But I also have 24 new PMags which would be a waste since they won't work in this AEBBG.
I wonder how much of a pain it will be to rewire the gun to have the battery mounted elsewhere.
I've always wanted to change out the stock on my PTW - though with those people have simply moved the battery into the stock pipe. With the recoil system in there, that wont be an option anymore

To be honest if you know your way around a gear box it shouldn't be that much of a problem ptobably the same as rewiring any other Marui.... I've done V1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 gear boxes so once you've worked out where all the bits go once you've split the two halves your laughing!
I'm more interested in upgrading the motor to a high Torque, the gears to a high torque gear ratios and then puting the stongest recoil spring I can find it while keeping the firing spring the same

That's of course if it runs on a two spring system

I'll help you pick one up if that's what you want? ^_^
Absolutely interested in this one and looks like quite a few of us are picking it up, gonna make for some interesting change in gameplay...
Here's some of the details that I've seen so far:
* New M4 will not take old magazines and vice versa
* Anti Dry-fire cutoff when no more BB's for Low-cap (440rd Hi-cap will not have this feature)
* After magazine change, pressing bolt stop will put the gun back into action
* Proprietary NiMH 1300 mAh Battery with "connector-less" attachment
* Blowback functionality like the TM AK74 via recoil system in buffer tube which uses a spring system of its own.
* Metal upper/lower receiver (Die-cast Aluminium)
* One piece CNC Aluminium outer barrel
* Real-size RAS
* Improved energy efficiency with renewed V2 mechabox
Knowing all the 3rd party companies out there, I'm sure upgrade parts for giving stronger recoil will come out soon enough ^_^
Cheers for the translation! What a pity old mags don't work. I like my PMags too much. I almost can live with everything else (ok maybe another I "don't like" would be the stock).
i got 5 bucks that an alternative battery source will come out in the first month!
When TM plans to do this to the M14 then I will pick it up. I just love my M14 EBR too much right now.
we also want to know if the front assy is compatible to the ones currently in the market...?
Ronald, yes it is. It uses pretty much the same external parts as other M4 variants. The question is will it use a real style delta ring or the standard Marui style one

I'll take that and raise you another 5 that its furniture related!
But I've had some inside info that one of the Major third party companies will be releasing gear sets and recoil engines for this very very soon and that they have managed to get the recoil to mimick that of a 9mm submachine gun....... get ready for sore shoulders boys!
I'd imagine the recoil system will be quite the battery eater...

That's nice to know. I would like to replace mine with the Daniel Defense MK18 RIS replica.

Hahahaha Im not bothered about that! 30 round magazine 20 minute games..... just need to bring a few extra batteries.... I intend to mod mine as soon as i get it to take a forward placed battery.
And don't be a hater

not all of use can afford the luxury of a PTW
