Hello all,

I have eventually a good vision of the gun I would like to build. It will be something like that:

I will use a Eotech red dot instead and I am planning a slightly shorter barrel (1 inch shorter) and different muzzle, longer and more "horizontal".

Could someone let me know of a reliable / good value for money AEG M4 base to build upon? One request would be to have the battery in the stock tube.

many thanks!

Gilles
Gosh you've opened a can of worms here Big Grin. My 2 yen worth. IMHO, buying a stock M4 then modding it isn't worth it, may as well build from scratch. The M4 is so popular in the airsoft world that there's so many mods and parts that you may as well build from scratch. Here's what I'd like to do if I were to build an M4 (http://www.gunsworkshop.net/ 12th photo down) :-

* Magpul tan receiver
* Magpul UBR tan stock
* Magpul MIAD tan grip
* Magpul PMags tan (like above)
* Daniel Defense AR-15 lite 9" but pity no tan. Only the DD RIS-II is available in Tan (but actually the Madbull Noveske FF is also quite nice)
* Vltor tower site
* Madbull Noveske KFH
* Systema Revolution gearbox
* PDI 01 inner barrel
* Firefly buckings
* BigOut H-Hop nubs
* SystemA Turbo motor
* some kind of AB-FET
* LiPo's

& yes I'm a fan of the EOTechs. I have the 2x553's but also would also think the 557's are nice.
Thanks for the feedback! I must have been spending 10 hours exploring the different ideas you gave me...

How do the M4 G&P compares to TM's and King Arms? I'm considering using a G&P as a basis for my customized M4.

Any comment about them?
