Sorry mate, they're different. U can't use V2/3 gears in a TM EBB mechbox. So do be very careful as I don't know of 3rd party gears for the TM EBB mechbox yet.
Im finishing up the designs of the new harder recoil kit for the sopmod and a 330 fps main spring thats proper sopmod length. The springs are being made atm, but the heavyier weight bloack is taking a little bit longer as i was honestly hoping the harder spring would be enough. dont you hate r&d.. you can see why it cost marui so much! Hopefully the first lot will sell to the various forums and i can put that money into some aftermarket gears for the sopmod community.
Richard, 330 fps will be too strong for the Japanese community as it will be over the legal limit. Any chance of something a bit lighter, maybe around 300 fps which would leave some room for barrel upgrades and other internal mods? Interested to know how you make out.
its an odd one we have the same limit here. Mine was coming in or around 330 with the hop on a bit. Yeah if i wound the hop off it was over but that said when do i ever play a game with the hop off i wouldnt lol so im trying to get as close to 330 give or take 10 percent. Mine has a pdi 6.01 as well

that said if people try it out and enough people have it coming over and not under then i will go back and have it taken back 0.1 on the wire size that will bring it down 30 odd fps i think ruffly kinda garrentying then that it will be under until you adds some mods..

so yeah we will see how this one goes becuase even if it does come up over theres loads of sites playing 350 fps limits in the uk now so lets see how this run does and i can always alter the design slightly for those wanting to come in under
I have a TM Sopmod and the Selector Switch is bad! Can I use any selector or do I have to use a TM Selector Switch ? Any help would be great!

Need some advice, I plan to install Magpul UBR stock to my SOPMOD. Anyway it can be install into sopmod or not?
It's doable, but I'm not sure how. A shop in Japan does the work for 10,000 Yen, or about $100.
I've been trying to get the piston head off the piston of my TM SOPMOD... it's not coming off.... X_X
do y'all have any tips for getting it off so i can install the Prometheus head onto the piston?

Thanks!!
There is a small hole in the top of the piston head. under this is a small allen bolt. To get to this bolt you can
a. Grab the piston head with a towel and then twist the piston to try and unscrew the two pieces. This works sometimes and not others.
b. Get a knife, scissors, or drill and remove the plastic top that covers the screw.

Once you do either of these methods the piston head is pretty much finished and won't be re-usable. You won't be able to use the standard spring either as it is made for the stock piston head.

I have done 2 pistons and method a worked on one of them but not the other.

Good luck.
haha, ok. I got the piston head off and put the Prometheus one on there. You're right, the spring isn't compatible X_X where can I find a spring that is compatible, or can I just cut the end part of the stock spring off? ^_^
Yah, there are no "compatible" springs on the market yet that I know of, except a custom one that Richard in this thread is producing, but depending on where you are located it may or may not be an option. You can cut the hook off the stock spring or you can try using other springs and testing them, cutting, testing, cutting testing, etc.

I had luck with a systema M85 spring. Dropped it in and it works fine. The extra compression gives it more power. I have installed this in two weapons and they have both worked. Maybe a stronger spring cut to size might work too.

Good luck.
about how fast is yours shooting with the M85? I'm currently in America so a little added power over what I was shooting while in Japan would be nice ^_^
I am shooting at 97m/s (99 is legal limit) and have done the following

550 mm 6.03 inner barrel
piston head
cylinder head
nozzle
spring

My buddy has the same spring and is clocked at about 94 with
407 mm barrel
cylinder
piston head
M85

he was having some lock ups on semi-auto initially, but I have been fine.
Thanks for the advice Goon. I hadn't even considered these things.
hop up plys a big part too on fps you could chrono 350 fps with hop off wind the hop to full and chrono 280 fps yet in game when you set your hop youll find a happy medium. ready for game day i like to set my hop for 50+ meters i know its difficult if you dont have a garden big enough. but then if you chrono youll know your actual game play fps. for instance hop off if your 325fps and hop set its 290 your inessence playing all day at 290 which is only a little over stock tm power.. depending on how much your hop effects your gun.. This might be why, you set up at home with one chrono and another chrono read different when you got there..
