Well alot of you guys are going to be disapointed with this information and to be honest I think the Team at Systema have seriously missed the boat with this and seems they have taken the interest to mean that they can charge what they like any way take a read:

This is from Kumi, the owner and CEO of Systema:

Quote:I am surprised at the big response to Revolution. (We have not started accepting reservation yet. Although we finally start within this week, we have not yet sent information.)

We have not yet announced the price, either. We got so many reservations and inquiries every day. Since they want to have as much information as possible in advance, I just list information which I can write now.
(1) Price is not yet decided.
(Scheduled price for your reference)
Rev-A2-UT16-R 49,000 yen
Rev-A2-UT15-R 48,000 yen
Rev-A2-UT13-R 47,000 yen
Rev-A2-UT11-R 46,000 yen
Rev-M4-UT11-F 46,000 yen
Rev-A2-HS90-R 45,000 yen
Rev-M4-HS90-F 45,000 yen

The price will not be less than this,

Although we have not yet decided, we got so many inquires.
Please consider these as guide and reference.

Now with the release of the new Marui AEG Blowback M4 Sopmod that will be released for new years (Marui always release a flagship weapon on this date) I beleive that Marui has actually read the market well and will release an affordable and durable Professional training weapon, although the Marui won't be as easily upgraded with the springs it will be full metal out of the box, to Japanese limits and featuring all the benifits of the PTW at the same cost of the standard Evolution gear box price.

So I will certainly be getting the Marui over an over priced version 2 gear box.
Uh...half a grand for a GEARBOX? I know I'm a noob at this and all, but really? Are these normal prices for gearboxes, or can I safely assume these things will s*** out 24 karat gold casings personally signed by the pope?

[EDIT by Anarchy : Vulgarities will not be tolerated on the forum, no matter how big or small, consider this a warning.]
Too bad. I don't think there would be many airsofters keen on getting a very expensive gearbox for something that could be done cheaply. But then, I wasn't expecting that the PTW would be as sought after as it is now.
My 2 yen worth, SystemA's living out on it's (past) glory. I think AEBG (am I just blindly creating new acronyms ;-)??) will be more common & standard in the future. Afterall Airsoft is about being close to realism isn't it? Otherwise we'd all be running around paintball guns instead...

But it's a pity that the Revolution was announced beginning of the year, so SystemA had to continue investment in the engineering and release the product.

Standard replacement gear box from Marui will cost you about 9,000 Yen. A King Arms gear box (These are top spec internals) will cost you about 15,000 Yen. A Systema standard version 2 gear box will set you back 20,000 Yen.

Having done a side by side comparison of the King Arms and Systema gear boxes the King Arms wins both in quality and cost, Yes Systema make very good parts but compared to Taiwanese and Hong Kong companies they can't keep up.
Is there anything to a gearbox other than power and not jamming? Can I expect my stock TM gearbox on my P90TR to lock up occasionally during games?

I read somewhere that the P90 and AUG experience "trigger lock" a few times while new. The solution would be to take the gearbox out, arrange something and put it back in (not that it's hard to do). Didn't happen to my P90 though. Undecided
wow, i was planning to build a custom m4... with the systema mechbox. oh well back to scratch.
FarEast

is the systema super max mechbox? the one that's compatible with any tokyo marui gun?
After all my BS about the Revolution being the "older generation", I bought one and put it in my M4. Aside from me being stupid by mixing up the +/-, and breaking the piston and teeth (different components that'll cost you Y2200 & Y3150 respectively), I must say that this mechbox is -awesome-.

Thinking of how I'd have to build my own mechbox, put in a computer around it (e.g. AWS's/PsyphyerVII's Pulse) and worry about wiring, not to mention Systema has done it all "in a box", I think the Revolution is worth it.

The response is very snappy, seems snappier than a regular (or AB) FET-ted mechbox, ROF is pretty good (not measured), and knowing that it does a full decompress even after a full auto, I'd highly recommend the Revolution. I'm guessing the snappy response is due to the electronic trigger switch as opposed to the regular mechanical trigger switch.
