MC vs MARPAT
I want MARPAT!!

Now I hear Reaper saying "sheesh, I told U guys" ;-).

Seriously though, looking through some of these photos, even though MARPAT stood out, the guy looked more like a log or something and MC stood out more as a human body shape.
I told you so!

Glad I still have my MARPAT gear :

it chinese Multicam too....so that may have a difference... as there are alot of difference between the cheap version of the Chinese MC and the new more pricey Chinese MC
MC works amazingly well - in the right environments...

MC was designed to be as universal as possible, which means it performs amazingly well in some environments and adequately in others. It works extremely well in arid regions, light forest, and grass lands - in all other environments it does its job, but it doesn't really shine. Granted, Japan isn't the best environment for MC - which is part of why I didn't pack any of my stuff.

Still have no idea what camo pattern I'm going to run over here... Might have to try out a couple different ones and see what works. Or I could just go back to running TS, like the good ol' days.
Matrix - welcome to the forums! (I just recently joined myself)

Concerning effective CCD for Japan -
From past experience in a few outdoor fields, I personally find that the JGSDF camo pattern is the optimal choice, but German flecktarn also performs quite well. Woodland is adequate.

I have yet to try this out, but I can only imagine that marpat will also be adequate.

Edit: Cadpat would most likely also perform quite well...
Also Britich DMP is very effect especaily if you go SAS style and mix the desert DPM with stand DPM.
I think MARPAT wins on those pictures.

Based on observation and comments from others, MARPAT is a good camo pattern during late spring to early autumn seasons. Especially autumn when there's a lot of brown. Multicam is good during late autumn to early spring.

Right, that's why we are using them for our teams official uniform.
