Since I'm sure it's already been answered I dont wantn to make a new thread for this.
I'm planning to purchase one of the new EBB MP5s, they shoot at 334 FPS, just a hair over the limit for Japan. Will fields allow me to use an FPS reducer on the barrel or must I actually crack it open and put in another spring?

Yes U can use a FPS reducer...but don't expect to have decent accuracy/consistency with them. (I'm assuming you're referring to the TM FPS reducer...the thing that you screw on the front of the barrel). I've also noticed TM's stopped selling them 'cos I think the goal is not to have a hot gun instead of "working around" a hot gun.
You can have other options (e.g. MB's got some inner barrel that reduces FPS, you could change the cylinder port, etc.) but my recommendation, change the spring.
