Now I think I am starting to understand how the Romans felt trying to take Masada down. It's hard problem; you can see the end goal, but you have no idea how to get there.
I got the MASADA because it is a MASADA and I am just that much of a loser to buy a gun for looks alone.
Anyway, after dishing out 6,000 to Echigoya to have the FPS stabilized (it was jumping between 95 and 73 m/s) at 92 m/s, I decided to work on the hopup. The hopup sleeve was made for a 400+ FPS setup so I had to change out the sleeve for a Marui one and add a big out H nub. Then I had to add a spacer just so the hopup could go deep enough.
Now I have the gun shooting 43 meters at max. This is pretty good considering the FPS and everything. But at this range it can only hit maybe a very obese player.
So now I am thinking how the hell do I improve accuracy and FPS? I also want to cut the barrel down to 11.5 inches from the original 14.
I am thinking about changing in a 11.5 inch by 6.01mm PDI M4 barrel and then cutting the outer barrel down to the same length. Would that do much for performance?
What else can I do to improve the accuracy of this gun?
