My kids really enjoyed having people around for the maintenance session. My son, 10, had a great time trying everyones different guns, and he was feeling that sense of pride you get when you are 10 and you get to hang out with the "big boys."

Anyway, it got me to thinking that there are probably a few of us that have families and that running off to airsoft games can SOMETIMES leave our better halves pissed for not spending more time with the family. I wondered if there was a way to combine our love for the sport with quality family time.

Looking on-line I found a camp ground that seems to cater to outdoors enthusiasts and airsoft players. More searching resulted in a few pictures and a camping review. Sounds like they have hiking, biking, canoeing, swimming, and airsoft.

So I wonder if there is any interest in a TKO camp out game. Those of us with families could bring them along to camp and swim, etc, and the games could be somewhat free floating...when you have time come play, when you want to take your son or daughter canoeing take a break, when you want to go on a nice "nature walk" with your loved one leave your kids with me Wink

I would be happy to organize if I could get an idea of how many people might be interested. If we had big numbers maybe I could book a lock out so that it was only our group. Even if you don't have a family you are more than welcome to come.
They have bungalows as well as tent spaces, so if you aren't a big tent fan they can accommodate you as well.

Crappy website here
Japanese camp report with photos here

I'm thinking July/August/September (rivers are nice when its hot).
This is something I would be interested in, although I couldn't find anything about the airsofting
This is the direct link to the airsoft section of their homepage. They say on their reservation page that you have to call to book airsoft and day camping...so if their is some interest I will look into it further.
I would be interested, although ... no family of my own Wink
No worries Hawk, I think anyone could come along, it would simply be a family friendly event...I think it could be alot of fun. Hopefully more people will show some interest and I can start organizing.
Hehe, thanx Dstole... looking forward to it !
That's an awesome idea, I'm very keen on the idea as well. About time to break out all that camping equipment that's just sitting around gathering dust balls. Now, to find the right time to break it to the boss...
Looks good dstole, all good have fun. Really great idea.
Yeah, why not. I'll probably come along with a friend, after I'm able to understand the crappy website it is.
Ok there seems to be some interest so I will start looking into it in more detail.
This sounds nice, id be up for it as well. I go camping a bit but dont use the tent nearly enough - would love to combine a camp with some airsofting if we get a few ppl together... -D
I have contacted the campground with some questions about the possibility of renting out the entire campground, costs, required numbers, game field location from camp sites, etc. As soon as I hear back I will create an event announcement. They have powered campsites for all you RV owners out there Smile
Info about the actual field: (copied from another thread where I was trying to gauge interest in renting this field):

Their website is terrible, but found some pictures on this guys blog.

According to his blog (and a few other sites I found), this place is basically just the woods, with no facilities other than portable toilets. Renting a field is only 20,000.
Your first link isn't working Psycho.
I am going to make an event announcement for 2 days over the long weekend to judge interest.
Yeah, I'd be up for it. Even got a tent and shit, might even be able to bring along some renowned "Ycare chicks" ^^
