Not sure what experiences others have with (potentially) over powered weapons, though heres a few shots from one of mine.

In this case, I got hit long range (minimum 20-30 meters) while moving between cover at battle city. I'm pretty sure this would have been an illegal weapon, though had no oportunity to ever find out.

The first shots are from the day, the last is from a week later. This took at least a month to heal.

On the day:

One week later:

In other games, I have seen people loose teeth, and parts of teeth.

Anyone else got stories (and ideally photos) to share? I think this would help to reinforce why guns shouldnt be over power limits set in Japan.
The impact of BBs on different parts of the body are very different. If I am not mistaken, you got hit at a patch of skin that is very thin with hard bone underneath. In these places, the damage is particularly severe, thus people losing tooth. Soft tissue (a person's bum for example) does not take any long lasting damage.

But looking at the size of that blood blister and consider the range, I would say that you were hit with a severely overpowered gun. Probably someone using 0.3 grams or above and fooling the chrono.
yeah but Ghost wears full gear....And at 30 meters or more fully loaded up..well that is just complete bullshit...If that happened to me and I could find the guy TKO will have to pull me off of them....I have some pictures of my face being hit from 1/2-2 meters away by some chode when I recently played.... I will post them up later...

even then bb's at the Japanese limit should cause nothing more than a wheal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheal). This means no broken capillaries - which means no blood! At very close range - a couple meters - I have been shot in the cheek and have bled.

Not cool, Ghost.

When did that happen? Was it a public game?
Yeah, the losing teeth thing is what really scares me... but in summer wearing a cloth mask isn't an option... I'll have to find something.

Ycare, you can buy neoprene masks from Echigoya!
I know, but it's way too hot in summer for that Sad

well recently I've seen those jaw to jaw S&M looking masks, I think tifast has one?

you could wear a "sick mask" that should do it Tongue
How about a mouth guard used by boxers, football, rugby, hockey, and basketball players - is there any pro sport not using these now Smile Might make it hard to communicate though.

throat mike should still work tho?
Haha, the mouth guard is a good idea, but I honestly wouldn't be able to stop laughing every time I try talking Big Grin, even worst when speaking Japanese.

-"Hmmfppff !!! Mmgjffff pprffff !!!"
-"Huu... whatever dude"

XD
Your hand signal technique would improve...Smile

At first I thought it was serious... and then the more I read, the less I thought so Tongue

Any idea where we can find the real info though ?
Would be useful learning handsigns, I always look completely retarded when trying to communicate from a distance. Just picture a walrus trampling the ground with excitement, and that's what I'm like when trying to say "WATCH OUT" to the team behind me. Big Grin
Google Military Hand Signals.
I found http://www.lefande.com/hands.html, which looks like the original of the one above.

I was under the impression that different teams and organisations use different signals, and that it is something you need to practice with your squad.

here is an interesting one as well...
