Hi,
I ma doing some mods on my buddies SOPMOD. He bought it used and it has a UFC G27 grip on it. I removed the motor plate screws from the bottom, but the plater won't come of because the grip is in the way but I can't find where where the grip actually attaches. Does it just slide over the stock grip? Are there hidden screws or seams that I can't find?

Thank you for any advice you might have.

M4 grips are screwed from within the grip (a very painful process when you don't have a magnetic screwdriver).
If it's the same kind, then you have to fin a way to remove the motor, else you're screwed (haha) Big Grin.
There must be a way for you to remove the plater, maybe with a small flat screwdriver or something...

GL !
Yah, the standard grip on my M4 SOPMOD came off with no problems, and as soon as the motor was out I could access the two screws that attach to the body. On the G27 the motor plate won't budge, and so I thought I needed to take off the grip first, but can't find a way to do it. Going to go talk to the Echigoya boys tonight about it.

Thanks Ycare
Ok just get a small screwdriver and put it in the hole where the front screw was on the heat plate (motor cap) then pry off the cap, it's just a tight fit and just requires a little leverage to remove.
thanks for that FE.
