Hello guys !

So I purchased 2 weeks ago on the advice of Echigoya both a Systema metal Hopup unit, and a Laylax Strike Chamber kit since the hopup in my G&P M4 Enforcer was completely rubbish.

Yesterday I decided to put it all together, and already had hard time understanding why the Echigoya guy made me purchase what seemed to be already present in the Systema hopup unit, but whatever.

While assembling the whole thing I came accross a washer that was in the Laylax kit (see here), and wasn't sure what to do with it since instructions were in Japanese.

I figured out it was fitting the 2nd gear of the hopup, and acted as a anti-reset for the hopup when vibrations from the mechbox are too strong. At least that's what I think... anyone to confirm ? I'm not 100% sure...

Additionally, there was a little spring meant to be added to the small guide outside the hopup, but it would prevent the unit to fit properly in the gun, so had to remove it. The G&P's didn't have any, mind to enlight me on its purpose ? Was it necessary ?

Thanks in advance for any piece of knowledge !
The washer slips over the dial that is also pictured in that link..... like you said it prevents the dial from slipping when fired but I also find that tightening the + screw after you have dialed in the hop does the trick also.

The spring is to add resistance when dialing in the hop and also keep it in place, if your G&P didn't have the spring this could be why you needed to purchase the parts as without it the hop dial will not hold its position.
FarEast, the washer didn't fit any part of the gear which was in the kit, reason why I was confused.
Also, about the spring, I know which one you're mentioning, but it's not this one, it's another one, which remains exposed outside the hopup, on a guide, a small protuberance in front of the hopup (front facing side of the gun). You can see it on the picture here.

Oh, and also, where is the brass spacer supposed to be when everything is assembled back ? Just at the front part of the hop up ?
OK I know what spring you men now...... yeah thats for TM style receiver kits....so don't worry about it.

The brass washer slides down the barrel and slips under the hopunit as a spacer between the barrel and unit.... stops barrel wobblen inside thehop unit.

Back to the rubber washer..... is it the same diameter as the barrel>? If so it maybe for slipping over the end of the barrel so that it does not wobble around in the Outer barrel.
As usual thanks a lot man !

For the washer, nah, the size doesn't fit at all and would be in the way of the BB. I looked online and found a post of someone saying it was for the gear, to prevent the reset of hopup, and it really looks like a good fit for the 2nd gear, so I guess I'll just leave it here till my gf can translate me what's written on the box of the parts Wink

Thanks again !
which washer are you speaking about? The Brass one? If so you need to assemble the hopunit and inner barrel then slide the brass washer OVER the barrel....you'll find that it slides all the way down and slips under the hop unit creating a tight fitting between the inner barrel and the hopunit where the barrel enters.
Sorry, miscommunication, I was still talking about the rubber one.

Though I did follow your recommendation for the brass one since I wasn't sure. Fits perfectly Big Grin !
