I'm going to Union next month and thought that this was the perfect time to put together a loadout, but, because my feet are on the huge side, I find it almost impossible to get black combat boots in Japan. I've hunted around every place I can think of (Okachimachi, Gotanda, Shinjuku, Akabane, Akiba...) and found nothing, so I bought hiking boots instead.
Why? Well basically I saw a Hot Toys figure in a toy shop near where I used to live that I thought woul be cool to emulate but I've been wondering how much license HT take with their figures.
I'm looking at a HT DEVGRU inspired loadout with a greener camo base, using woodland or something similar (OD?) and would like some opinions on the validity of the loadout and the other equipment I might need to get the look close.
What I have that I could use.
Green hiking boots.
Woodland plate carrier with M4 pouches.
M4A1.
Sig 552.
TM M119A1.
WA Marsoc.
Hatch pads.
...
That's about it.
I have a pretty big budget which might run to a new AEG and yes, I'll try to pick up an old busted camera to swing over my shoulder.
Feedback please.

And before anyone asks, there'll be no patches or insignia on the loadout that should only be there when earned by the real guys.
Goon.

ah ah, that's a first. I couldn't care less for anyone to wear my uniform, ranks or decorations. I consider that the military is at the service of the civilians, not the contrary, and if some people want to play with my toys then they are free to do it, that's the beauty of the service.
Let's face it airsoft is a lot about posing, as long as you do not take yourself too seriously, play fair and safe, all is fine from my point of view.
I'm sure some people may be less tolerant, but each to his own on this and I do not condone the "insigna (self appointed) guardians", be it by "law" or "higher standards" (!?!)

(e.g: militaryphotos.com)
So wear whatever you please and bear in mind that if some of the so-called "real guys" are(?) upset about ranks and insigna, some of the """plainer""" guys may also think that it is not so bad to grow out of the military... or just couldn't care less.

lol please don't wear our ranks or insignas unless earned them includes you tifast

just playing
but goon if you need black combat boots let me know I can get beville on base and the price is in US dollars just to let you know we have jungle and full leather combat boots or steel toes.. Prices aren't bad I think 90-100 for the most expensive pair
I like the style. Don't understand the purpose of the camera, but still cool. Oh, and you definitely need the badass beard

I think the camera is modelled after MikeT!
I don't know, the beard can go or stay, but the moustache on that doll is pretty awesome! If you could only emulate one thing in that loadout that would be it

ah ah, no way, US navy uniforms are too cheesy for my taste, not as much as the air farce though... grunt all the way

lol those desert BDU's you wore last game are still used in the navy in the middle east my friend ^^ lol
Sorry for being a complete noob, but what does DEVGRU mean ? It sounded like a complete random word.
Yeah... still doesn't say much to me, no idea what group it is, and the initials don't really match either

Haaaa, Navy's Spy unit... Thanks Goon for the details, I like knowing the kind of little things

Yes, Goon, I have some feedback.
When you set your choice on equipment, pay attention to the colors you are selecting and their re-usability. For instance, you may find out that a black drop leg or black gloves may not go very well with your next outfit. So purchasing something in CB, may actually save you some $$$/time/space.
Same for shoes, you may wish to opt for a pair of Merrel that will achieve the same effect but will be re-usable for other SF but I am not too sure on this.
As you may know also, black is not the best color for camouflage, but on the other hand, if it is the specific look you are looking for, go for it.
For the gloves, as many of us can already attest, pay close attention to protecting your knuckles, bb on the fingers hurt like hell (ask Ycare)

. The "softskin" label doesn't sound too engaging.

'DEVGRU look' = anything that feel comfortable...... basically hiking gear by NorthFace, Millets and the likes. These guys get to pretty much choose what they want to wear, sames as the SBS and SAS. Alot off them now are wearing tribal clothes to blend further into thier surroundings and territory.
am the one trying to be devgru look but it cost hell expensive, and no intel around so really drive me crazy doing this lol
