I have a gun coming in from WGC in Hong Kong that has been in a "waiting to clear customs" state since Saturday. I imagine customs is off for the weekend, so I am sure it will take a few more days, but in your experience how long has it taken for your items (full gun) to clear? It was shipped EMS as recommended by FarEast in the previous thread about importing and problems with USP and USPS.

Thanks.

ps. I know I am impatient Smile
I want it now!
Had a gun from WGC using EMS, no problem, delivery took overall 1 week.

Sometimes the EMS status won't update properly. How long has it been since the purchase ?
Bought late last week. The EMS tracking site says it arrived in Japan on Saturday and has been "Pending customs inspection" since then. Again, I don't imagine customs would get to it on the weekend, so I figure it will be cleared today or tomorrow (I hope).
I find that it takes 4 working days on average to clear customs.
Yeah man, it's government, no customs clearing anything during weekend.

Wait Tuesday/Wednesday, you'll have it by then, don't be so impatient Tongued
Still no show Sad
Did you get WGC to write up a certification letter (stating it's under 0.98J)?
I asked them to modify it for me to be under .98J but wasn't aware that I needed to ask for a letter.
Getting a certification makes things smoother. To be honest I don't think the guys @ customs really know how to test. The check for everything - real guns, drugs, fruits we're not supposed to bring in, etc. If they did know how to, they may take their time testing it.

I had a my TM Sig P226R hold back my entire shipment from HK -> TK for 3 weeks. In the end they called up TM (since it's TM made) and TM told them it was ok. I had to write a letter of apology to customs for wasting their time Tongue (and got billed Y36,000 for holding fee for my shipment).

Having a certificate is just smoother/faster (but not necessarily foolproof).
They give the certification when you ask for them to make it under 0.98.
The problem is, it's only a certification, and they don't actually modify shit. So if the customs decided to check themselves, then it might get troublesome... Give it Friday as well. and if it doesn't show up, call EMS. What does EMS says, still customs ?
Just checked and it say "in transit"
Sweet!
like i said 4 working days..... and it can take a day for them to update theCRM systems if they had a lot of stuff come through.... Importing via EMS is trouble free. I've never had any issues or required a certificate.
You called it indeed sir!
