I'm 99% multi-cam baby ! Only part not multicam is my Mitznefet, but colors are close enough.

Honestly though, thinking about our last game at the forest, and it was pretty cool even without seeing the type of camo we were wearing. I mean as soon as you're a bit far, DPM, Desert and MC looks completely the same if the guy is in the shadow, even worst if there's only a head popping out of cover. I think the pass-phrases we were using, and better coordination with our team, was way better than just markers and any visual distinction.

My guess is, it's probably the same in real wars anyway, people communicate to know where is the enemy/allies, they don't really take time to check the uniforms. I was constantly going back and forth asking Mike where were our guys so I would avoid shooting them and give my support where it was needed.

Mike the General ! ^_^

That's my 2 cents !
Wow, just saw the pics, field is pretty open hu... reminds me of BCU, is even more barren.
Right side have some green to hide in, but it's so thin that one burst through this and you get shot. Left side has little hills to use for covers.

I usually prefer more dense type of environment, but trust your judgment, we'll see how it goes ! ^^

It'll definitely be a huge difference with the last game in the forest !
Hi Ycare,
Thanks for your comments and feedback.
The field is very much like BCU, and is long and wide!
I think that the scenarios we play will have to take this into consideration, and team work is going to be very important.
As it stands we only have about 16 members so far, so we may be able to just make teams and rely on communication and tactics to keep track of who's who.

I also like a more dense environment like seals and splash but I think it is interesting to try new things and mix it up a bit. This is a new field so we can try it once and if we don't like it we can book more games in the wooded areas.

Hope we can get more people because it is going to be very lonely if we have all that space and only 8 or 10 per side Smile
I am tempting one guy. However, an answer does not arrive yet.
I will bring multicam and other BDU.
you guys mind if i bring a number of on base people?

if people have guns they can use im sure i can bring a few more.
I'm not sure about others but I don't have any spares at this point, everything is in a state of disrepair.
The field has rentals though so if we know ahead of time we can book those weapons...i think they are AK Spetsnaz. I think they are 2500 for the day with a bag of bbs.
ill let them know and get back with you

I didn't know you guys had an history together Heart
Here is a video from the game last weekend that gives you a better idea of the coverage, size, etc of the field.

Sorry about the wind. I tried to filter it but the camera was a poor quality with a horribly exposed mic.
Ok, better insight on the field now, thanks dstole for that !

Blunt honesty, this kind of field isn't my cup if tea, but it's better than nothing, and I really miss playing right now Big Grin
The struggle points will always be the same, and strategy is very limited, everyone waits for the other one to get out of cover, can't flank, can't surprise, can't do much, pure action and shooting skill.

No shadow at all also I see, I'll come with light clothes so I don't sweat like a pig ^^;
Field looks a lot like Desert Union. Desert Union is somewhat like BCU except with a lot less structures and more hills, just like that. They even have a tank Big Grin
I agree Ycare. The field, offering very little protection or cover, will prevent some game types, but I think I can come up with some scenarios that will make use of the space. We will have to implement time restrictions and make sure we get off the field now and again for drinks and breaks...although I am hoping that by mid-October that things will have cooled down.
Looks as if Tornado's and Moscart's could make some things happen though. if you have some good team work and keep the pace up I suspect that all those static positions that people are holding would crack very quickly. Still some time for some shoppping :-)
yeah, they deff do. i use tornados almost every game there
hey leon,
