I went to a game this past weekend (thanks for coming Ycare, Tifast, Chuckles, kenzie) and ran into something I have never experienced before...
Teams were broken into two sides and the site i wasn't on was owning us all day. We played at Desert Storm Kawagoe, which is very long and open, and we were all being completely out ranged. I would try to adjust my hop and shots would inevitably begin raising up if i applied to much hop. I dialed it in as best I could, but the other team was out shooting us distance wise by almost double. I would literally have someone lined up, fire, not reach, and then he would tag me in the head. 50 meter shots were no uncommon. The weird thing was their team was having no rise issues either...I could see their BBs flying nice and straight and FAR. Was really frustrating.
So my question would be
1. What is a good hop bucking/nub combo to improve accuracy and distance
2. Would a tight bore or a loose bore be better (6.01 vs 6.08 vs Tanio Koba spinning barrel etc)
3. What else can I do to improve distance and accuracy (not so worried about FPS - oh how things change
Thanks for any suggestions.
ok, several things that you can do:
-increase your fps beyond the legal limit and have your replica checked with 0.25g bb, then in game switch to 0.20g
that's dirty and spoil any fun to the opposite team, guaranteed effect: people will leave the field as we did yesterday
And by the way, we are not talking about 50m, my stock EBB M4 socom has a range of around 40-45m, I was outranged by around 50%, that makes an easy, easy 60m pushing to 65m
You can't do that if you keep within legal power limits
to answer your question: do nothing and play with people you know

Is Desert Kawagoe a legit field, did they chrono?
As I said, you chrono with 0.25g and play with 0.20
to add something: wrong doing in finance is detected, among other things, statistically.
Yesterday, all the games had 90-95% of red team out vs 30% of the yellow team out. Systematically. So when you have such statistical anomalies, an investigation is launch usually.
As said, play with people you know and avoid "anomalies"
and btw: the field had a superb organization, just some guys spoiled it for everyone else. It happens and it is not the end of the world. Grin and move on :-)
The problem with this argument is that the field did the chrono with their chrono, their mags and their BBs, so everyone was in the same position. They couldn't have done chrono with .25 because the field was doing the testing with a standardizes system. Only way to beat it would be to move stickers to other weapons after the check, or adjust hop up after testing, but surely that alone wouldn't create the difference we were experiencing yesterday. I am just curious to know if there is some type of upgrade that can be done that would effect range that dramatically and not put you over the legal limit.
yes... the same way you are not supposed to "zombie"
I told to my son yesterday. He had been to there twice in the past.
He pointed to see some images of past games.
He does not participate yesterday. However, it accorded with my memory.
I hope that you guys can understand that I want to say.
And I felt a pain than before when I was hit.
My friend also said.

What BBs (make and weight) and weapon were you using? Any options?
Were your opponents lofting BBs of shooting straight?
Were they using scopes or iron sights? What about you?
Goon.
no lobbing, straight, ridiculous ranges. First time we ever see this.
In any case, playing interest = 0, tactical interest = 0
Goon,
As Tifast said some of the players we played against were literally shooting straight down the field at us with no up or downward effect on the BB...laser beams
On my end I was using Excel .2 BBs as that is what the field asks be used. I was using a TM G36C, which with a shorter barrel is limited, but again, I am not understanding why my hop caused eventual upward movement and opposing team was straight and true...I believe i must be more than just power. Maybe heavier BBs or different hop, like H type nub and firefly bucking (or something to this effect.)
I guess my underlying question really is whether there are upgrades to stock TM hop bucking and nub that would make a difference to distance and accuracy.
Thanks again for the discussion.
To those who can understand Japanese, look at this:

It seems doable, but the thing is it will ultimately depend on the honesty of the one being shot. One thing's for sure, they probably use 0.25s.

Are you sure ? When I chronoed mine, I used my mag and BB, could have easily put 0.25 in there without anyone noticing it and change after.
I'm pretty sure they did the same, or just move the sticker, or whatever. Thousands of way to cheat, and a group of 6-8 cheaters are easily detectable.
Not that I condone cheaters, but it would be better to give them the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise. The problem about that is the one you're accusing will probably be marked for a very long time. Yesterday when we played at aSEALs public game we were at the receiving end of the zombie accusation as our side was consistently winning, and we're the gaijins. This will eventually give us the big problem of running out of public games to go to because of sore losers calling us cheaters.
My initial post wasn't meant to accuse anyone of cheating, but was more to ask if there is something available that I am unaware of that would improve accuracy and distance. Hazard makes a good point about calling out zombies as eventually we will end up having to deal with the "gaijin" stereotype following us into public games. I really don't want to be in a situation where we can't go without being looked at instantly as cheaters. If the teams we played against was simply better than us, had some better gear, etc, I am happy to conceded defeat, but I come back wanting to know what I can do to equal the playing field next time.
What do you all feel is the best hop/bucking combo available? I have seen many conflicting reports about madbull, promethius, etc
What happened to Goon's comments?
Did this post get edited or did you remove them Goon?

I'm the first one to admit I tend to judge too quickly, and calm down after.
But in this case, it was really just too obvious, they weren't even trying to hide it.
On the 6 games that I played when there, none of them red team won. On every game there were at least over 50% of the yellow still alive when red lost.
During the "shooting the balloons first" game, it took 5 mn for the yellow team to shoot them all. During reversed role, red team could only shoot half of them in 15mn, and during the first 5 minutes, 75% of the red team got shot, no yellow casualties.
I was watching those games carefully, on the non playing side, through the net. The guys we know were cheating, had a good 10/15m advantage shooting range above anyone else.
I shot a yellow guy in one spot with no cover, 2mn later, another one come, same spot, exactly same, no cover. What took me 20bbs 2mn earlier, suddenly I couldn't make it with 180bbs. Eventually the zombie shot me and I could witness it was the same guy as before when I walked past him.
That's a little too much coincidences for me. Especially when 4 other guys can confirm the same things happened to them...
dstole: systema hopup with laylax bucking is supposed to be the best.
