Ok all I have been following the progression of this project now for over a year and it seems they are finally ready.

These don't come cheap but will turn an ordinary AEG in to a PTW

Quote:the features:

MOSFET relay
Active Braking
Burst fire (on/off)
Anti-dryfire
Handle cocking req (on/off)
Low voltage cutoff

The active braking function DOES work when using burst fire.
The anti-dryfire function DOES activate in the middle of a burst.
The handle cocking registers only when the trigger is released.
The angle of the IR sensor prevents it from being activated by the nozzle (too close) and the last 2-3 bbs that can't be fired (too far).
The IR sensor/emitter turns off when the anti-dryfire activates or burst ends, even when trigger remains pressed. (this was the power saving feature I mentioned in the original post)
How the burst fire functions: when IR detects the 3rd BB, it will shutoff when the mic detects the next piston strike to ensure piston is always at rest.
How the low voltage cutoff and anti-dryfire functions: when time between last IR BB detection and current piston strike is more than 1/3 the time it takes for a full cycle, shutoff upon detection of the piston strike, which is also done to ensure the piston remains at rest.
