Rentals are available...they are 2,500 yen for the day.
Does your buddy have a name?

I have 2 friends that are tentative and want to join up with my team...they won't know for a bit longer and have said they won't bother coming of the game fills and they haven't gotten their schedules worked out. Can I add you to another team for now with a first to move if my buddies can't make it, or the game fills up?
Sam L. is on for Team Charlie

[dstole] Sounds good. I left some spots open on your team incase you had some Team Spartan folks that wanted to come along.
I have three people interested, but they can only play until 16:00.

Toshi
Yusuke
Carol

This would kind of destroy the tournament aspect of the game, so I dont know if we should sign them up or put them on stand by.
from 4:00 - 4:30 the plan is to play two games with combined teams, so having those 3 leave early would be a big disadvantage...and they would miss out on the big prize draw and awards ceremony Smile
My friend's name is Ralph.
If there are four teams, does that mean that at all (or most) times two teams will be sitting out?

I do not have the slightest interest in attending if I have to sit out every other game.
Yup, there will be 15 minute games between 2 teams at a time. So 2 teams will be waiting each set. again, this game is more of an event than a "just play play play" style game. In each hour there will be 2 games per team. No lunch break, no reload breaks, so in the end I think the amount you play will be very similar to what you would play at a regular game.

The choice is yours, if you won't be attending please cancel ASAP so we can open the space for others.
Would like to have you out though as it will be a fun day. And just think if your team wins you have Best of TKO bragging rights for the year Smile

PS. Forgot to mention that the start and end of the day will have everyone involved at the same time.
Why is the game only until 5? Slots 1 and 2 should take us to 18:30.

Sorry to sound negative, but change me to tentative, as two games an hour sound pretty sparse to me.

Considering I am almost always one of the first to get shot, this gaming style will likely result in me getting to play for a total of three or four minutes an hour.
There are 2 ways to book the field during the day, one is for 2 blocks of time, but costs 2,500 yen PER Block, so would cost each person 5,000. You can also book from 10-5 for 50,000 yen (for 20 people) so is essentially half price...but you pay for 20 even if less than that attend. There is no cancellation so this game is on regardless and we have already paid a 20,000 yen booking fee.

As I said, this will be more of an event than a standard style game. Hopefully it will be an annual thing that we can do at TKO to promote a fun and successful year. I will try and make the games as playable as possible.

Have moved you to tentative.
How about your friend Sam L
hey leon,

stick me down as tentative on this. sounds fun, and am keen to try splash indoor.

also; i was kicking myself with the great weather last saturday Wink hehe. though to be honest i mostly backed out because i was stressed from work, and needed to chill out.
Last week was a good time...wet, slippery, but fun.
Will add you as tentative. Hope you can make it.
30 mins of play time per hour is a bit on the sparse side, but since I didnt get to attend last time I'll still make it out. I just wish I had a field closer to me, two+ hours by train is a long way to drag all of my gear.
I completely understand Wraith. Usually our games wouldn't be run like this, but for the first game of the new year we want to try and do something a bit different, with a focus on fun, team based games...

I guess we could do the 5 man team competition stuff in the morning, and then 10 on 10 in the afternoon, but I wonder if it would end up being the same by time we factored in reloading, grabbing water, a smoke break, and a quick breather between games. Then explaining the next scenario...this might take 15 minutes between games anyway. Th bigger the group waiting the longer it takes to get everyone going again. 2 teams play, exit field, next two teams are instantly out and ready to go. Both have their +/- I think.

Will give it more thought though and maybe combine for more time in the PM.

Glad you can make it though.
Where are you Wraith? I might now someone in the Kanagawa area that might be able to offer a ride.
I'm in Fussa, on the west end of Tokyo. It's going to be about a 2.5 hours ride by train, so if theres someone out there who can offer a ride, I'd be very grateful.
What the hell, count me in. Its not like its expensive, or hanging out on the sidelines wont be fun. Sorry for being critical, I'll go with the flow.
