Anyone want to bring a laptop so we can all download our videos to one location at the end of the day?
all mine will be on a CF card, so its cake for me to do it. BUT whoever is editing them, needs to be familiar with transcoding, you cant edit the 7d avchd and get realitme editing unless you have like 8 cores. if you transcode it to apple pro res its easier. without it, you get like 7fps on a quad core with dual gtx295s at 4.x ghz. its a beast
i think we all do lol, it comes with our camera's, but i downloaded a couple extra ones. I think we should all share our footages and see who can splice it best. Smile
I'll be happy to put a video together. I have a quad core i7 so I'm positive I'll be able to transcode it to a useable formate.

I can bring a card reader, but I really dont want to lug my entire i7 packing laptop down there. Anyone have a netbook I can connect my external drive to?
i should be able to bring mine if you guys really want.

the files from the XHA1 that me and my partner have are cake on my desktop. but the 5dmk2, 7d, d300s, and d3s files are rediculous.

either way, ill only have a few minutes of video in the end, its so much work without a follow focus here yet
Anyone giving rides to the field? I'm in Kawasaki, but very close to Tokyo. If you have room for two that'd be even better.

They are tan .20 BBs

Thanks for the props bro!
IMPORTANT RULE CHANGES

Hi All,
I spoke with Anarchy and Q last night about the game on Saturday and we made a decision about some of the things that had been brought up in this thread...

1. There will be no ricochets hits. TKO has never played ricochets and we would like to keep this rule consistent in TKO games so I was asked by Q and Anarchy to remove the ricochet hits rule. Please keep in mind though that if you take a hit and are not sure where it came from to call it and not assume it was a ricochet.

2. POWER
We are imposing a 95 m/s max for this game. We would like all weapons to be under 90 m/s but we understand that not everyone has individual weapons for both indoors and outdoors. As a result we will chrono each weapon at the start of the day. Weapons that are under 90 m/s are fine. Weapons that chrono between 91 and 95 m/s will need to use .16 BBs. These are lighter, and therefor carry less energy when hitting a target. I will purchase some bags of this ammo which can be purchased off of me for face value at the game if you need it.

We wanted to make sure that everyone could use the guns they have while keeping the game safe and fair. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

3. Costs
Even though I alluded to this in a couple of my posts, we wanted to make sure that we were clear about game fees and where the money is going. The field charges 50,000 yen for a minimum 20 people, and then 2,500 yen per person after 20. Essentially this means that you pay 2,500 yen per person. I listed the game fee as 3,000 yen so that if we had less than 20 people we could still make up the 50,000 minimum booking fee. As well, we are giving away some prizes, and the extra 500 yen per person will go towards those prizes and material costs for the game. We wanted to make sure that people were aware of this and didn't feel like we were trying to somehow make a profit from the game.
yeah, well i just got told i have to work my real job, the airforce job this weekend, so im pissed, and im out.
Looks like my ride wont be able to make it. So with no GPS for my car and no desire to take a 3 hours train ride, I too am out.
Wow, that's a bummer guys, I was looking forward to having you out Sad
I will open up your spots to the folks on the waiting list.
me too, maybe next time. I'll head down to Kawagoe on sunday to get my trigger time in I guess
Is the exact train stop chishirodai monorail?
And is there any way to fill a camelback there? I really dont wann ahave to lug 3 liters of water for 2 and a half hours on the train.

And for those trying to cab pool it to the field what time are we trying to meet at the station?

I believe so. If we can, a bunch of us should meet there around 9am. Then we can all split a quick cab ride to splash.
