The picture doesn't do the welts justice! I have known and worked with Dstole for quite a while now and I have never seen him as angry as he was. It showed great restraint to not get physical with this guy (mind you, he did run away very quickly!) but it was obviously the right thing to do. Dstole admits that he owns some of the blame for going for the freeze call by tapping the barrel of his gun on the guys back but of course the guy shouldn't have opened up on Dstole's face and then he should have at least apologized. The fact that he got up and sprinted away was likely because he needed to get a change of underwear... having a pissed of Ginger Ninja standing over you would cause anyone to soil their pants.
So, lessons to learn:
1) Don't do freeze calls (especially if you are playing against guys with high cycle weapons)
2) Accidents happen but be very quick to apologize when you see that you have caused physical pain
3) Accidents happen so be quick to accept an apology and don't allow yourself to respond physically.
Anyway, was a great field but not a really good day due to the number of high cycle weapons and the playing style of the people with those weapons (starting the game walking down the field shooting thousands of rounds in the direction of the other team hoping to get a lucky hit or two).

Great work D for not going off and killing the guy. I probably would have chased him down and made sure he understood the error of his ways.

As I said this happens all the damn time in Hawaii, most recently I was with a friend who was taking cover on one side of a berm when someone ran up the front of it and opened up on us. At least 50 rounds were sprayed onto us after we were both yelling HIT HIT HIT HIT. Being Hawaii, where most airsoft players are mentally deficient and play with 500+ fps guns at all times it became a confrontation quickly. I really hope this sort of thing is an isolated incident, but be glad the idiot wasnt using a hot gun.
For an example of the idiots in Hawaii, take a look at this video. For example, in this video my friend actually shoots him first and of course he doesnt call it. After which I shoot him square in the face with a shot and he continues to shoot me, then calls himself out. Just count yourself lucky that you dont come home from every other airsoft event looking like that. In hawaii people talk down to guys who wear more than a tshirt when they play because REAL MEN play in shorts and a tshirt.
