Anyone interested in getting a night game together? I know Desert Storm holds an open night game every Wednesday night and has reserved night games every other Saturday. I cant read Japanese so I dont know the details of the Saturday games, can anyone help me out here?
I still havent used my night vision scope so I'm really excited out getting out there and playing!
I played there on the 23rd. Was a good time.
I have also played at SEALS, and it was a good time as well.
Would be into playing, but my guess is that 1 person with night vision might have a huge advantage over those without
Let me know what you are thinking and I can probably help you out, although I might suggest the Kawagoe field first as you can play there from 19:00 - 24:00, whereas some other places expect you to play from 21:00 - 05:00. So are you wanting to playa night game, or an ALL night game?
I was thinking a night game, but an all night game with enough people is still fun!
I was involved in a bunch of milsim events in NJ that went into the first hour or two of night in the winter. It's a really intense experience not being able to see more than a few feet in front of you. You learn quickly to trust your ears more than your eyes!
As far an a huge advantage, it is a Gen1 tube, so its not much better than the 100 dollar handheld sets you get from kmart, but I did buy to have a night fighting advantage (And to work on my Biceps, the damn scope weighs 8 pounds)
EDIT: I work M-F, but I wouldnt mind heading out to Kawagoe this week or any other time, although I doubt I'll stay until midnight.
Another reason I love night games! You set up some awesome ambush situations that wouldnt be possible in the day! It also looks a lot cooler! Looks like the one guy with night vision did a great job of getting everyone killed in this video. Notice how everyone else moves? That have no idea where the enemy is or where they might be hiding since it's pitch black!

Do you need extra equipment to play on night games? I want to play some night games, but I don't want to get Pwnd either...
You dont need any equipment whatsoever. You just need the desire to play in a different environment and experience a completely different style of airsoft.
A flashlight is a great idea if you dont have night vision.
hmm.... I've got enough desire to play, but I don't have time for the game.
Since most night games probably ends at midnight, there be no train left for me to go home, and I have to spend a night out... which is a bad thing during weekdays (when public games are held, at least in desert storm) since I must go to school on the next day.
I would like to suggest that TKOverkill could probably organize a night game
... or... maybe we can go as a group at public night games
