Is there anyone who is willing to make order online using his/her credit card? You don't have to tell me your credit card number, just make the order and have it shipped to your house and I'll pick it up from your house. I'll pay the all the cost with exchange rate 1 dollar to 100 yen. I want to buy American Optical sunglass in japan, but the price is almost 3 times suggested retail price. If there is anybody who is willing to help me make order online, I'll be extremely grateful. Here's the link for the retailer

product code: OP55B.BA.TC
frame: Black w/ Bayonet Temples
Lens: Grey (55 mm)
I can have them shipped to my FPO address for $14.95, I can do it if you want, and if you don't pick them up, or meet me, and pay me for them I'll just keep them and wear them and look really really good in them. Let me know which style you want and everything.

Jake

Not a problem. I live in Yokosuka, but I can take a train ride north to meet you somewhere if you show me a good place to eat or something.

Have fun,

Jake
OK. Btw since you live in yokosuka, are you a member of US armed force? And do you know army surplus shop in yokosuka? I might go to yokosuka to do some equipment shopping.

about the restaurant, I happen to know a nice indonesian restaurant with nicely priced (1050 yen) lunch set. It's only for weekdays,so if you happen to work near roppongi hills, maybe we can meet there

I do work at the Yokosuka Naval base, and I am in the US Navy. I do not know of any Military surplus shops in the area, but El Brandon may know some. As I said I work in Yokosuka, so Roppongi Hills is probably out of the question during the week, but Indonesian does sound good.
I see... Well, I saw another site and it has free shipping (We offer Free UPS Ground Shipping to the lower 48 U.S. States and Free USPS Priority Mail Shipping to all U.S. Military APO/FPO/DPO on most orders over $29.95----> I don't know what this means... is this means you can have free shipping to yokosuka?) and here's the link

with no additional pack.

please tell me after you confirm if there is a free shipping available

and last thing, could you please ask El Brandon if he knows any military surplus shop near yokosuka?

Thanks in advance Big Grin
If this is turning into a smallish tko dinner event, I'm in. I'm in Tokyo most weekday evenings. I'd be happy to meet up for dinner and the hand over of these important sunglasses. Post a date and time and lets see if we can round up some TKOers in the area for a small get together.
Yes, shipping to my FPO address will incur no shipping charges, so the cost will remain at $53.95. I don't know El Brandon, so the only way to ask him about the Military Surplus stores would be on here. I know of one store in the Honch in Yokosuka that sells military type gear and clothing, but from what I have seen they do not have much, and it is quite expensive. Maybe you could send El Brandon a PM.

If you want me to continue the order for the sunglasses just give me the word and I'll submit the order.

I wouldn't mind meeting a few TKO folks for a TKO dining get together somewhere between Yokosuka and Tokyo for the mission codename, "Sunglasses Exchange." Smile
Both orders have been place, sent a PM and emails to confirm the orders, will let you know when they arrive, and dinner will be had, all that want to join up are welcome.

Have fun,

Jake
Name tapes and dog tags came in today!

The sunglasses are being held up because of exportation, and the need of signatures, they emailed me yesterday for a signature and I scanned it and sent it back. I ordered some items that are not exportable, so I asked them to cancel those and to please just send the sunglasses. Sorry for the holdup on those.
Thank you very much!!! Details about Operation: Sunglass Exchange will be posted on the events forum after the sunglass arrived.
The Eagle has landed. If we're not rained out Saturday I'll have them with me along with the name tapes and dog tags. Cool
well... I guess Operation: Sunglass Exchange is pretty much cancelled now Tongue

anyhow, if anybody still interested in TKO dinner event, I can still arrange one at Indonesian restaurant
OK... so the sunglass exchange is finished now.

I got another question. Is it legal to import real ballistic trauma plates and Kevlar helmet to japan?
