A little sketchy but appears to give std V2 mechboxes an EBB feel too. I'm guessing that it won't work with folded stocks

. So much for TM's proprietary EBB mechboxes.

Lol, never underestimate the Chinese ability to copy something, if they can get their hands on it they will rip it apart and figure it out. Although quality can be an issue. It seems interesting, but one the things that attracts me to TM EBB's is the more realistic bolt catch feature. Shake is neat, but I can't get over the feeling I'm using up battery power better served for shooting BB's.
Gonna be in HK next month to see some family, might go around and see what the price on one is.
The catch on the TM EBB though is overrated. Yes it works but only with std mags, not hicap (not that I have any hicaps). What's worse is that there's no real "click" to the bolt catch.
Don't underestimate Modify. They've made very good "drop-in" gears to the V2 mechbox. So I'd expect this product to be of equal quality (esp when it's such a simple mechanism). The battery drain though is insignificant and would be same for TM's EBB or for Modify's Tremors.
I believe this system will essentially remove the ability to use battery-in-stock setups?
While it is certainly doable (the piston is in the same line as the stock pipe), I wonder how they will fix the mechbox to the lower frame with that installed?
Oh yeah the bolt catch on the TM model is pretty weak. It just struck me as the more interesting feature on the recoil shock M4. At least more interesting to me. I imagine if I wanted to get a more realistic bolt catch I'd probably look elsewhere.
I'm gonna wait and see the when they post install video, but this definitely seems like something out of my depth. Be interesting to see how much this mod will cost when it comes out in Japan.
I'd love to see more blowback AEGs on the field. It is a bit frustrating having my aim thrown off by the blowback while everyone else has the white laser flying at my face.
These are already available at RA-TECH.
Wraith makes a good point. Why would anyone want to decrease the accuracy be it with a blowback or not?
I like the blowback effect on my m4 but indeed it throws out my aim. I don't mind buying a previous generation AEG anymore... lol
Well it depends on each individual's goals doesn't it? We have a group of ppl who are dying for milsim, scenarios, realism, "professional" tactics, etc. and we have other who "simply want to play". So some people enjoy blowback at the cost of accuracy, meanwhile others may want to spray 'n pray.
You can't fault one or the other as each person has their own definition of fun (and that is one of TKO's ethos - to have fun, but not at the cost of other player's misery). However what I do urge TKO players is to be consistent. If you like milsim/scenarios/realism then embrace it fully - don't complain about blowback, don't complain about playing in mud/rain. Similarly those who simply just wanna go out and have fun, don't complain about realcount games, or don't complain about complex scenario games.
bah, I'm sure the military would gladly give away the recoil. Was just wondering why we insist on something that puts us at a disadvantage on the field. Then, if it is for the cool effect, I perfectly understand.
Now that's a different topic. For reality (not realism, since realism is trying to imitate close to reality), I'm sure military would like to give away recoil but the fact is that it's there, isn't it? May it be a good recoil absorption but it's still there.
Back on track about _AIRSOFT_. Blowback _AIRSOFT_ guns that attempt to imitate what we have in RS (not some dream gun, but RS). The possible exception to this is the "Thompson-mod-Aliens" gun which obviously doesn't imitate RS (but a movie gun instead).
