4. ruler
5. saw

8. PVC glue
9. flute body and the end of the flute (not the mouthpiece, the other end)

step 1

cut 3/4' & 1' pipe to your preference. for accurate result, use ruler

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/7363/29657699.jpg

sandpaper the ends of the pipe as fine as possible

step 2

http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8920/39584453.jpg

put the 3/4 inch pipe inside 1 inch pipe

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5407/38081283.jpg

use gaffe tape/duct tape to fill the gap between (just give some estimation)

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3176/18653622.jpg

press the flute inside, and glue the circumference of the flute.
make sure it's still properly centered

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/797/56200010.jpg

TADA!

step 4

http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6701/24781752.jpg

apply putty to fill the gap, wait until it dries, then sandpaper it

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/8648/75142236.jpg

sandpaper the highlighted part so that flute body can be inserted inside

http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/2833/26311468.jpg

TADA!
Silencer is ready to be painted, but sandpaper it before painting

step 5

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/272/14881265.jpg

put primer first (the author uses flat gray), it actually depends on your preference.

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/91/34859810.jpg

apply main color, (the author uses flat black) wait until it dries, and if you want to put decals, put it now

http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8752/16095463.jpg

finally, use flat coating mr.hobby to protect the paint job

step 6(final product)

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2229/68621540.jpg

the silencer will fit 14 MM rifling ont the outer barrel, just turn anticlockwise on the barrel so the rifling will form itself.

ps: try to form the rifling before you paint it
After reading the title I was ready to lose my shit about horrible airsoft mods, but this is extremely well done. An awful lot of work to get a silencer, but at least he has a great story to tell after finishing it!
Any vids of this thing working? Love to hear what it sounds like when it shoots.
I was thinking the same thing. I do hope it doesnt sound like a flute!
If so, I would demand that opponents play Free Bird when they shoot me. Otherwise I'm not calling the hit.
hmmm... the original post doesn't mention anything about how your gun sounds with this homemade silencer. IMHO, this "silencer" is just a decoration and will not change anything about your gun performance (sound, muzzle velocity, etc.). want me to make a vid request to the author?
Yeah, try to figure out what it makes the gun sound like!
This one time at band camp...
