Hello folks. I've browsed this forum, and a couple others looking for info on sights.
I'm looking to put a sight on my TM Sopmod and/or my TM MP5K, and was just looking for some advice/recommendations, and maybe even some offers on sights you may not need.
I currently have an airsoft 2x red dot sight I bought from a China/Hong Kong importer and I don't use it, because for one, I can't sight it in, even if I am to keep the dot centered, it shoots low and to the left at it's highest windage and elevation corrections. It also has no parallax correction, no thanks.
I'd like some kind of EOTech, AimPoint, or Trijicon replica that actually has parallax correction. Magnification isn't a necessity, but I wouldn't more any more than 4x for field of view reasons.
I'm no sniper, or DMR, mainly because I can't hit the broad side of a barn when I am sighted in. I'd like something that's reasonably accurate and reasonably priced at the same time, and something that is big enough so I don't have to spend a lot of time planting my face on the buttstock to align my eyes to the dot/reticle/crosshairs.
I'd like to keep my price range to under $100 US, maybe a little more.. maybe..
Thanks in advance for your advice/recommendations.
I've had a lot of bad experience with airsoft optics as I mentioned in this thread

You're going to find poor parallax on pretty much every replica out there, it just depends on HOW poor they are. Sadly 99% of reviewers have no damn idea what parallax is and why its important information so they all just review on how pretty the sight is and how great the packing materials are. I cant imagine people actually use most of these airsoft sights when they have such poor performance!
For under 100 dollars you're going to be very limited on what you can get. I'd recommend something like this Eotech by G&P

I have a Hurricane Eotech and it's not horrible, but like all airsoft optics its not as accurate as I would like it to be. That G&P is fully adjustable and takes AA batteries for easy replacement. They also look good on an M4 and MP5 and have green or red sights for day an night use. Sadly, every replica eotech I've seen projects the light forward so at night whoever you're aiming at will be able to see a little red or green dot pointing at them even on the lowest settings. I discovered this "feature" playing night games in hawaii, so I learned to turn it off and just use the oetech frame to "box" my targets.
Beyond that you can pick up a magnification unit for the eotech if you really want to see further downrange.
EDIT: Fixed my links
EDIT2: Heres a parallax review of that sight

Looks like theres a bit of parallax on this one like on my Hurricane, but it's hard to tell at that short of a range through video. It might just be the camera angle. There are plenty of video and normal reviews of the G&P 552, so look into it.
Thanks Wraith, I did read what you had read in the other thread before posting this one, and found that helpful, unfortunately I already had my other sight with no parallax correction. That EOTech replica looks decent enough. Is there anyone else besides G&P and Hurricane that makes a decent replica? Why would you guys choose an EOTech style over a Trijicon ACOG or Aimpoint or visa versa?
Besides what they look like and what style you prefer, theres no reason to go with one over the other. Just find a model you like the looks of and start youtubing parallax tests for those models. Some replicas are great, others are not. I have a G&P ACOG red dot here thats pretty terrible. G&P also makes magnified scope versions of it that are apparently pretty nice, so that might be something to look into.
I will say that an ACOG would look pretty stupid on an MP5, but if thats your style go for it.
Looking stupid is always my style.

Hurricane replicas of Eotech are good quality though more expensive than Chinese ones. I own two Hurricane, and they're quite strong one, and better quality than the Chinese I've seen. I have a G&P Aimpoint style, and replaced it with a Hurricane 553, the G&P had a bad parallax in comparison, much nice using the 553.
Of course, real Eotech are the best, but you can buy some Bushnell for fairly cheaper, and it's good quality too, holographic sight, pretty neat.

Thanks for the info.
When I ordered ace5kills' sunglasses I tried to get a red dot from optics planet sent out here for myself, but because of my fpo address they couldn't send me any optics/lasers, bummer.
I know they're probably your run of the mill chinese replica, but has anyone tried or heard anything about the DragonRed Airsoft sights? They have full markings, ha.
