Multicam works for most terrain. But in a tropical jungle setting, Multicam doesn't blend as well compared to Jungle MARPAT.

Dedicated camo will always work better than a general one. Desert Marpat works really well in a desert environment, in which MC does not too well, jungle one rocks in a jungle environment, while MC is too bright, and I'm not even going into the snowy places... but for "1 for all" camo, MC pretty much kicks all the other camos. Jungle would suck in anything else than jungle, and same for most of the others camo, and this is why we love MC, only one set of gear for all (and it looks just so nice)

Dunno about what you mean MTP looks better. Afterall it's by Crye, it uses Multicam colours, it's just the patterns are DPM patterns. From a distance, I doubt one can tell a big difference in the pattern was MC or MTP (esp if you think of distances such as the photo above).

I guess the saying "jack of all trades master of none" still rings true
