TM M4-S-System Full Metal

So, my second project after my G36 (still pending process), is to change the plastic parts of my M4 S-System to make it a wobble free, heavy as hell, and super sexy, M4 S-System.

So far, I learned that I need an adapter in order to install generic M4 metal bodies (this one here).
Secondly I of course need a full body itself, not sure which one yet, and need to check the available ones at Echigoya, or online at WGC (will it ship though ?).
Then, it would seem that for the RIS thingy, I'd need to get the one from ICS, though I can't seem to get a confirmation if it's full metal, and if it would fit the TM model (see here) .

It would seem that is all I need !

The stock is a bit wobbly, mainly because the plastic siding part is a bit loose, but I don't see anyway I can fix that aside of changing the full thing, which won't be full metal anyway.

Anyone mind to share their opinion, experience, whatever ?

I also have an M4 S-System and would be interested in knowing how this upgrade goes. The folks at Echigoya warned me against buying the S-System over the M733 and others because it didn't have many metal upgrade options, but it was the only one that tested under .8J when I bought it (mainly for indoors).
I haven't looked into it much since then, but please post your discoveries...

Where are you buying the adapter from?

There is a metal body specifically for the S-System you can find them at redwolf. Also the RIS on the real deal is not metal but polymer. Im trying to think of the manufacture in the US that makes the real thing... company name begins with an F and it is actually in active service with the Philipines SF.

Are you referring to the Hurricane stuff? I think there is also a metal body made by Zeke? You can sometimes find these on Yahoo auctions.

not to jack the thread but where can I find a s system or any type of RIS m4 barrel/hand guard? I am buying mikes PMC and want to switch it our sometime this summer

Ah the S-System, my first AEG... good times...

k, enough reminiscing, this was a little bit of a journey for me and here goes :

Metal Receiver : dstole is right with Zeke making a 1-for-1 drop in metal body, this is the best option for the S-System if you're not looking to change out the front system. Standard G&P-type metal receivers unfortunately will not fit the S-System's handguard system.

Outer Barrel : Those looking to shorten the S-System barrel length, I have a 285mm length outer barrel for sale ^_^

Internal Upgrades : All standard V2 upgrades applicable

Rewiring battery to the back : I did this to give the gun better balance, will require some modification to the receiver to let the wires pass to the back thru the buffer tube.

Then in order:

- dstole: Sure, will let you know how it goes, though between the shipping times, and the actual orders, the whole thing might take some time !
- FarEast: Thanks for the help, as usual, you're very knowledgeable about all this stuff, beyond expectations ^^
- brandon: Hijacker , there are a bunch of ris/handguards, just check at WGC or redwolf, there seems to be A LOT, you should find something for sure.
- anarchy: WOW, very sexy ! Looks awesome ! I like the handle btw, where did you get that ? Also, I see indeed you shortened the barrel, and it looks real cool with the sound suppressor, but I'd like to keep as much barrel as possible on my side, so it's as accurate as possible . Oh, and what's the thingy in front of the red dot ? A magnifier ?

Now about the parts:

- SIR: So now I know the real SIR is part polymer, part metal (thanks to FarEast), does that mean that the stock Marui one is actually accurate ? Would the ICS be made of a "better" polymer ? (TM seems more like plastic than polymer). I don't see anyway to order just the RIS on Ferfrans, but even if I contact them, will it actually be that different to ICS's ? What about the Samurai SIR, that's even another good looking idea (see here) ?
- Body: I found the Zeke one, which unfortunately seems to be discontinued everywhere, though it would have spared some money (this one). I guess instead I will have to settle for the Hurricane adapter and body. At least it gives me a greater choice of bodies, but overall costs more, and not sure of the final look since I don't know anyone who tried yet... we shall see.
- Stock: anarchy, you mentioned having to change something in order to get the batteries in the back. Mind to share exactly what was the procedure ? I guess I will have to do the same and get a similar type of stock. It will indeed also balance the gun quite nicely !
- Internals:　S-System I have has already been tweaked by Echigoya fully if I remember well, so I guess (and hope), it shoots nice and strong, this is why I didn't mentioned it before.
- Handle: I want the same as anarchy's

Ok, a little sum up. So far, here is what I'm looking at:

- SIR: ICS's SIR, maybe not the best, but all the others seem whether really difficult to get if not impossible, whether way too expensive for just the piece of a gun.
- Body: The adapter set, and this body, or something like that (this one looks very sexy, though stupidly more expensive).
- Handgrip: That, or that, or even that.
- Stock: Something like, but not necessary that.

PS: Wow, about 500$+ just for those... ouch. New guns are cheaper than that
