Hello All,
I hope there are no objections to me adding this here.

A number of TKO members have asked me to help sell items for them on Yahoo Auctions over the last little while. I am happy to help and wanted to offer my services.

I have been been thinking about how to do it, and this is what I would like to offer...

1. Contact me via PM about items you want to try and sell. We will discuss it and look at the process of how the auction will work. I will decide if it is an item I think we can sell. I am not going to go through the process to try and sell an old pair of kneepads that you want 12,000 yen for

2. If we decide to proceed, you send me your gear with information about how much you want for it, what you have done to it, etc. You set a starting price, buy now price, and reserve price.

3. I test, photo, and make a video of the gear to show that it is in good working order. I will translate and create a description, etc in Japanese.

4. I will post the auction, and keep you up to date on it's process. Number of hits, watch list additions, etc.

5. If the item sells I will send the funds to you via bank transfer or postal money order. I don't have the ability to send funds by Paypal at this time. If you are local we can meet and pass things along in person.

-----

For my time, it usually takes about 3 - 4 hours per item to video, photo, and translate descriptions, I will charge 2,000 yen + 10% of the selling price. I feel this is a fair price for the service.

Please consider a few things...

- Used airsoft gear goes cheap in Japan unless you have something rare, cool, or of special value.

- The more "extras" you can offer the better the sale will go.

-----

I currently have a flawless buy/sell rating, so anyone that wants me to sell something for them MUST be upfront about the condition of their gear. If there is something quirky, or broken, or what have you, then let me know about it.

Let me know if I can help you out.

The GIGN is part of the French Army, but is a specialized group operating in special situation, locally or internationally, and wears occasionally many hats like Spec Ops, DEA, police, hostage situations, Embassy protection and military operations. They usually take over the dedicated forces when the latter are lacking because of regulations or need of expertise.
It's all in French, but nevertheless interesting, you see them training for the protection of the French Embassy/Ambassador in Baghdad and arresting some drug kingpin close to the border in France.

Hey all, just wanted to post a thread about the lack of numbers we have been getting out to TKO events.
On Saturday Ginga Ninga organized an event at Forest Union. He went to a lot of trouble and came up with an awesome plan for the day. It was the perfect mix of short scenarios and quick in-field turn around with just the right amount of out-of-field break time. Unfortunately we only had 8 players (7 when Q was having gun issues).
I'm not sure why we are having a low turnout but I think we need to try and figure it out. Perhaps we shouldn't be organizing 2 events per month as it looks like it could be adding to the watered down numbers. Obviously summer is not the best of time in Japan to be running around with a lot of kit on but surely we can get more than 8 people out to a game!
It is a pity that Ginga Ninga has decided to stop organizing events for a while as he was really starting to get some great ideas together.
Maybe we could try a system were we post our available days for the next month and then organizers can choose a day that suits the most number of people??? Any other ideas for how we can get a better turnout?
